MRI Construction & Remodeling was founded in 2018 by Max Volkman and is the emerging general contractor in the Long Beach, California area. Max started MRI Construction as a way to bring reliable residential contracting to the South LA and North OC areas. MRI is headquartered in the south central area of Long Beach known as Bluff Park.
Max began his construction career in the Washington, DC area in 2002 as a laborer for a small general contractor and quickly moved into framing and an assortment of other trades. It wasn’t too long before Max worked his way up to an Assistant Superintendent position. After making the move to San Diego in 2004 Max continued to work his way up in construction management and has held rolls as Superintendent, Project Engineer, and was a Project Manager for the 7 years prior to opening MRI. With a total of 20+ years in construction with the majority of that in the management of projects, Max has overseen 300+ projects totaling over $22,500,000 in construction.
Originally from the Washington, DC metro area, Max has called Southern California his home since 2004 and Long Beach his home since 2014. Max has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Project Management.
