In 1988, a young man named Steve Stuck decided to take a risk and start his own business, S&S Tile, Inc. Steve’s business grew quickly because of his reputation for quality work and excellent customer service.

Recognizing the need for skilled crews that could complete multiple aspects of a project, Steve obtained his general contractor and plumbing licenses in 1990. S&S Tile ultimately expanded to offer a much wider range of services. Our name changed, too, to S&S Renovations.

MEET THE FAMILY
Steve Stuck is a San Jose native, born and raised in the Cambrian area. Before his career in the construction industry, Steve worked at Georgio‘s Pizzeria while attending Pioneer High School. His experiences there (and rise to the positions of head manager and chef at only 18) taught him the value of hard work. It’s also where he met his wife, Shawn. When he’s not working on his own home projects, Steve loves to spend time with his family, cars and animals, play golf, cook and travel.

Shawn Stuck is also a San Jose native. While she and Steve were busy growing their family, Shawn also helped grow the business by managing the S&S Tile office. After studying interior design at West Valley College, she became S&S Renovations’ in-house designer. Shawn has a passion for her animals, traveling, trips to the beach and spending time with friends.

ANOTHER GENERAL CONTRACTOR IN THE FAMILY
Zack Stuck started working with his father at the tender age of eight, by reading the map as his Dad drove to meet with prospective clients. He continued working with Steve part-time during high school and college. Zack obtained his general contractor license and became a company partner in 2014. He enjoys spending his free time traveling, golfing and eating good food. He has a huge passion for all things history and enjoys baking.
